About Our Principal
Alicia Rissmiller - Principal of Roosevelt School
Throughout my career, I have taken on roles such as department leader and supervisor of our district's K-12 summer programming. My administrative internship within the Manville School District and REED Academy further solidified my commitment to educational leadership. My passion for fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment has been inspired by the encouragement of colleagues and administrators, both past and present. I pursued leadership roles to make a broader impact beyond my classroom, a goal I continue to strive for as principal.
At Roosevelt School, we take pride in our history and our role in the Manville community. Built in 1929, Roosevelt serves as the district's 3rd and 4th-grade building. Our dedicated staff is passionate about helping students achieve success in all areas of their lives. We value inclusivity, embrace social-emotional learning, and implement the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports system through our character education program, The Roosevelt Road. This year marks our 3rd year in partnership with Rutgers and NJ PBSIS, and we will continue to build upon our successes with daily school-wide morning meetings that promote a positive school culture and celebrate our students and staff. Our grade-level targeted Intervention & Enrichment (I&E) period remains a cornerstone of our efforts to ensure student success and learning.
On behalf of the entire Roosevelt staff, we look forward to working together with you this year to create a supportive and engaging learning environment for all our students.
